Tom Szyjak

Peacefully with family at his side, on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the Portage District General Hospital, Tom Szyjak of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba beloved husband of Anne Szyjak passed away at the age of 85 years.

Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Wednesday Evening from 7 to 8 PM.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Mr Kim Didur officiating.

A private interment will take place in Gray’s Cemetery, Alonsa, MB

Tom was born on March 27, 1923 son of Peter and Frieda Szyjak at Alonsa, Manitoba. Predeceased by his parents, his brothers and sisters; Jerry, Jean, Lucy, Donald, Margaret and Olga he is survived by his wife Anne, brothers and sisters; Katie, Anne (Phil), Steve (Eva), Evelyn, and his loving spiritual family of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law; Bill (Ruth) Schultz, Scotty (Lisa) Moar, Martha Brooks, Terry (Eva) Moar, Ellen Neal, James Moar and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tom looked forward to when “The righteous themselves will posses the earth and reside forever upon it.” Psalm 37:29
