Mary Popko

On Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Mary Popko of Portage la Prairie, widow of the late Michael Popko passed away at the age of 91 years.

Prayers will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Monday, July 21 at 7:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 10:30 Am.

Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Mary was born on January 13, 1917 daughter of Maggie & Peter Sokoloski in Portage la Prairie where she was raised and received her education. In 1936 she married Michael Popko and they resided in Portage la Prairie.

Predeceased by her husband Michael, her brother Demer, she leaves to mourn her passing her children; Walter, Evelyn, John, Beverley, Brian, Jerry, Ronnie, Rick, Shirley and their families. Also surviving is her sister Ann Stronski, her sister in law Evelyn Higgens and several nieces and nephews.
