Skylar Elise Meeches

Wiŋ’yahowaśte Suddenly on March 23rd, 2010, Skylar Elise Meeches went on a journey to the Spirit World. Our angel is fondly remembered with immense love by her mother Robin Meeches, Stepfather Mathew McKay Jr., little sister Lianna Meeches, and cousins Juanita and Donovan Meeches (whom she was raised with). She will also be missed by her father Brent Meeches (Tina), brothers Cassius and Silas, and her special friend Cody George.

Keeping her memory are her Grandmothers: Bessie Meeches, Shirley Baziel and Eva Wescoup; Uncles: Gary "Johnson" Meeches, Kingsley "Leroy" Woods (Belinda), Special Uncle Ricky Meeches, Robbie Meeches, Jamie Meeches (Leslie), Aunts: Jo Ann Woods (Dean), Cathy Meeches, Cindy Meeches, Carrie Vandenberghe (Jason), Naomi Fosseneuve (Trevor) and Mandi Myran (Farrel). Skylar will always be missed by many cousins, extended family and friends too numerous to mention.

Meeting her in heaven are her Grandfathers Ross Woods and Arthur Meeches, her Uncle Darrel Woods and her Aunties Laura Woods, Mavis and Janice Meeches.

Skylar " Shylar" celebrated her time on earth to the fullest. She was know as a very loving and giving young woman who shared her life with everyone. She was a happy and fun loving person who enjoyed playing jokes on the people she cherished most. No one will ever forget her beauty that was both internal as well as external. "Heaven is more beautiful now Skylar, because you are there!"

Skylar received some of her education in Calgary, Alberta (during the time she spent with her mother) at the Family Piitoaysis School. She also attended Forest Lawn High School where she developed many wonderful friendships. Skylar spent most of her life with her grandmother Bessie and attended Long Plain School in her home community. Skylar also briefly attended Portage Collegiate High School

A celebration of her life will occur on March 28th with a traditional wake and then a traditional service on March 29th, 2010.Officiating will be Keith "Butchie" Pashe with special thanks to Derek Woods, Marlene Levasseur, Julio Salinas, Frieda John, Edna Merrick and Cheryl Meeches.

The family would also like to thank everyone else who offered their support and assistance to the family as they prepared for Skylar's Journey to the Spirit World.

Active Pallbearers are Robbie Meeches, Jamie Meeches, Doug Beauchamp, Conan LaPorte, Jamie Wescoup and Chris Woods.

Honourary Pallbearers are her very best friends Mercedes, Rayell, Nakita, Michelle, Crystal, Larissa, Marla and Dana.

The family would also like to thank Omega Funeral Chapel, who are in care of the arrangements.
