Connie was born on April 22, 1947 in Portage la Prairie, MB and raised in High Bluff.  She received her education at High Bluff School and Portage Collegiate Institute.  In December 1975 she met and married Ed Ostopowich and together they raised their 3 girls.  Connie worked for many years as an operator for MTS before becoming a stay at home mom.  She later worked as a switchboard operator at MDC which allowed her the opportunity to advance into the Recreation department, working with the mentally challenged.  In 2005 Connie retired.  After retirement Connie and Ed traveled south and wintered in Texas and Arizona.  Throughout their travels Connie was able to cross off many destinations on her bucket list and was fortunate to have only a couple left.  Connie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family & friends and sharing with them her many interests such as quilting, cards, dancing, music and gardening.  She took great pleasure in the lives of her children and grandchildren and could often be overheard bragging about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen.  Over the years Connie was a former member of UCT, Portage Legion and was an active member in the Yellowquill Sams Club.
Connie was predeceased by her father, Mackie Hourie in 2004, her father-in-law Steve Ostopowich in 2006 and great granddaughter Madison Guy in 2015.  She leaves to mourn her passing husband Ed Ostopowich, her mother Ruth Gray (Doug) and mother-in-law Sophie Ostopowich.  She is survived by her daughter Sharon Green (Chris), grandson Connor, daughter Brenda Guy (Bradford), grandson Devin (Stephanie), granddaughter Tiana (Tanner) and daughter Debbie.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Verna Knight (Pete).
