Kenny was born on April 23, 1941 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba to Walter (Watt) and Emma Lee. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling and gardening. One of his passions was his garden, especially his famous tomato plants which he started in the house in the early spring and in the fall turned his harvest into canned goods for his family. Kenny worked for several years at Campbell Soup before starting his career at the Manitoba Developmental Center in 1966. In 1996 Kenny retired from the MDC as Supervisor of Mobil Services. Kenny’s biggest enjoyment was playing baseball. He was best known for his home run hitting, having placed many balls on the roof of Victoria school as well as breaking several of the school windows. Kenny played in many of the local ball leagues growing up and finished playing in the lineament league with the Minards. During this time he made many friends. One friend in particular, Ed Ross, could always bring a smile to his face no matter what the day was. Kenny had a love for dogs and will now join two of his faithful companions Duke and Rocky and will sadly be missed by Keisha.

Kenny was predeceased by his parents Walter and Emma; sisters Lena Chetwynd and Ethel Lynch and infant brother Marshal, he leaves to mourn his Partner Valerie Howard, two daughters Catherine (Wayne) Banfield and Sheri (Cory Thurston) Lee, grandson Hunter Burston, brother Dale (Pat) Lee, step sons Kevin (Darlene) Howard and Darcy Howard, step grandchildren Jessica and Joshua Derry, Kailey and Carleigh Banfield and soon to be step grandchildren Beckkie and Garrett Thurston, brothers- in- law Doug Chetwynd and Ward Lynch.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this time of sorrow. We would also like to thank the staff at the Lions Prairie Manor for their care of our loved one.
