Muriel Evelyn Connelly (nee Garnham)

November 18, 1923 – March 27, 2016

Muriel completed life’s journey peacefully at Lion’s Prairie Manor on March 27th, 2016 at the age of 92.

We would like you to join Muriel’s family to celebrate her memorable and meaningful life at Omega Funeral Home, on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:30 PM.

Viewing will be held prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Muriel was born in Fannystelle on November 18th, 1923, the 7th child of Alfred and Zella Garnham.  The 12 Garnham children attended school in Oakland but soon had to find employment to help support the family.

Muriel married Michael Connelly in November 1944 and 10 months later, Albert was born, followed by six more children over a 21 year span.

Muriel is predeceased by her brothers:  Alvin, Alfred, Bob, Les, Bill, Stan, and Jimmy as well as sisters:  Amy and Ethel, and several brothers and sister-in-laws.

Left to mourn her passing is her brother George and sister Joyce.

Muriel leaves behind her children:  Albert (Colleen) Connelly, Marg Peacock, Heather Deedman, Dave (Helen) Connelly, Deb (Greg) McLeod, Gerald (Kelly) Connelly as well as nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Muriel is predeceased by her daughter, Linda Rose, her grand daughter, Kimberley Dawn, and son in law, Dave. 

Muriel was always proud of her immediate family and was often very excited to have a visit from several nieces or nephews – none more so than Barb Bolack.
