Peacefully on June 13 after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side, Lionel (husband, dad, papa,
brother and grandpa) passed away at the age of 71 in Portage. Predeceased by his parents Carl and Blanche Switzer. Left to 
cherish his memories are his soulmate and partner Adrienne, daughter Shannon (Doug) Bowers, son Shawn (Marta) Switzer, 
stepdaughters Brea Fisk and Samantha (AJ), stepson Dustin (Natalie) and granddaughter Edana (A.K.A toad to him), Sisters Wanda (Don)
Zimmer from Nanaimo, BC and Betty (John) Schimmel from Taber, AB, Nieces Kimberly and Crystal as well as his Nephew Tony. 

Also many good friends and family members who were all very special to him. Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Church at 1:00 PM 
Monday, with Rev. Julie Baker officiating. Internment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. 

Viewing will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Omgea Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
