Paula Kim Smoke

        It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paula Smoke at the Portage District General Hospital on June 3rd, 2018.  Left to mourn her passing are her husband Barry Chapman, loving sons; Jarred, Perry and David Smoke.  Her precious granddaughter Jordie Maryann Smoke.  She also leaves to mourn her brother Rick and sisters Becky and Carolyn.  Paula was predeceased by her father Russell Hall, mother Yvonne Smoke and infant son Russell Jr.

        Paula was beautiful soul and enjoyed spending her time with her family.  She was extremely proud of her sons and special granddaughter Jordie.  Her uncle Stewart Smoke held a special place in her heart and she loved him dearly.  Her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews were all so very special to her.  Paula loved travelling enjoying many long rides in the car, shopping, fishing, interior decorating, painting and dancing.  Paula also enjoyed all types of music. 

        Paula’s family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Nurse Kim Beam at the Dakota Plains Health Centre, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Portage District General Hospital for their care and compassion throughout Paula’s illness.  Donations in memory of Paula made be made to charity of one’s choice.

        Funeral service for Paula will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie.  Interment to follow at Old Sioux Village Cemetery.
