Ralph Joseph Lamirande     

     Ralph Joseph Lamirande left us on May 23rd, 2019 with his family by his side at the Portage & District General Hospital. 

     Ralph was born in St. Ambroise, MB on August 1st, 1951 to Nelson and Margaret Lamirande.

     Left to cherish his memory are his wife Janet, children; Virgil (Anita Trimble), Tanice (Travis) Mattice, Chantel (Chandler Henry), stepsons; Alex and Justin Lidster.  His brothers; Robert, Jerry, Marcel, and his sisters; Evelyn, Juliette, Betty and Linda. 

     Also, his beloved grandkids; Jess Nichol, Piper Mcateer, Valen Nickles, Hayden and Saidi Mattice, Olivia Lamirande, Easton Henry, Zadius and Aaliyah Lidster.

     Ralph was predeceased by his parents Nelson and Margaret, his brothers; Maurice, Noel, Donald and David. 

     Ralph attended school in St. Ambroise.  During his career he was employed at the Portage Mushroom Farm, Portage Transport and his last place of employment at LA Quality Products which he thoroughly enjoyed. 

     Ralph enjoyed hunting flickers and especially fighting over muskrat tails with his siblings.  He was a huge fan of the Montreal Canadians.  His truck was his pride and joy, and he also loved spending time in his yard and garden.  Ralph enjoyed hot dog roasts around the fire with his family in the summer time.

     When he was younger Ralph and his dad went trapping at Delta Beach with the Hochbaum family and he earned enough money to buy his mom a chocolate bunny for Easter.  When hiding the bunny in a tobacco container he realized it was too big, so he “had to” eat the ears off so it would fit just right. He will be truly missed by all who loved him.

     Memorial Service will be held at the St. Ambroise Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., St. Ambroise, MB.  Interment to follow at St. Ambroise Catholic Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Ralph to the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church, Box 56, St. Ambroise, MB, R0H 1G0
