Sandy, Patti and families, I was saddened to learn of your Mother's passing. I have fond memories of visits with her and enjoyed the letters she wrote to me over the years. I loved her sense of humour and she always had something fun to add in her letters. She was a special lady and will be missed. My sincere sympathy.

During my teenage years in Oakville, I was often an guest of Vera and her husband Charlie (my cousin). She was a loving and supportive wife to him and a gracious and kind hostess to a young man (me) who lived at home with only his working father as company. She was a tower of strength to Charlie, and made his life much more full and happy. She will be missed NOT only by her offspring and close friends but by those of is fortunate enough to have known her as a young wife and companion to a man who had up until then, had a VERY LONELY LIFE.
