On Saturday, August 8th Andrew Neil Grant age 69 of Oakville, Manitoba beloved husband of Patricia Ann Grant, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Muriel, three sisters and two brothers. He leaves to mourn, his devoted wife Pat of 46 years, daughters Janet (Jason), Deanne (Chris), Andrea (Pete), granddaughters; Abbie, Cameron, Avey and Lyla, four sisters, two brothers, numerous in laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Andy began his career in heavy construction at the age of 17 driving truck for R.J. McGee and Associates. He put many years into work including owner/operator of Portage Crane Service and 25 years at E.F. Moon Construction, a job that took him cross country. After retirement Andy enjoyed working in heavy construction with Ryan McGee of Armcon. Andy was also known for being an avid tomato gardner, golfer, fisherman, hunter, and a loving husband, father and papa.
As per Andy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Hazeldean Farm (Andy and Pats), Friday August 14th at 3:00 pm. 1 1/2 miles West of Oakville on PR 331 on the South side. Bring a lawn chair.
