Benjimen Jake Klassen

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Benjimen “Ben” Jacob Klassen on July 1,2020, at 69 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents, Katie and Peter, and his brother-in-law Pete. Left to mourn his passing are his son Benji (Jen) and daughter Christy; grandchildren Nash, Carter and Natalie; brothers William, Jim, John and sister Judy, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Ben lived much of his life in Portage la Prairie where he owned a Turbo gas bar, worked at Campbell Soup and picked up various jobs later in life to keep busy. His passion in life was fishing and was happiest when spending time at Black Sturgeon Lake with family and friends. Ben had a big heart and was always willing to help out and lend a hand to anyone in need. He will be truly missed. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.
