Caroline "Karla" Owsiak

     On February 3, 2019, Karla passed away peacefully at the age of 75 at Concordia Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

     Karla grew up on a farm near Amaranth, MB and spent her adult life in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Katie; sisters Vicki, Joyce and Rose; brothers Mike and Peter; stepbrother and stepsister; and nephew Trent.

     She is survived by her special cousins Ed, Ruth, Helen and Clifford; as well as; Alex, Sue, Carol, Rob, Larry and Mary; aunt Elizabeth; nieces and nephews; Adam, David, Jim, Ann and Kathy Johnson. She will be missed by her best friend Linda-May, also friends Penny, Kim, Shaylyne and Michaela.

     A thank you to Concordia Hospital 3-N for their care and compassion, as well as to Ed and Ruth whom supported her in the hospital during the last week of her life.

     Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held on Friday, February 8th, 2019 in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, Winnipeg, MB. 

     A private family interment will take place this summer at Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie, MB.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
