Charles William Towle

     Suddenly on December 28th, 2022 at his residence in Winnipeg, MB, Charles Towle passed away at the age of 89 years. 

     He was born in the Currie School District, the son of the late James and Emily Towle. Charlie spent many years working in the construction industry, paving many streets and roads throughout Manitoba.  His long-time employer being Custom Asphalt.  Charlie’s hobbies were his love for baseball, which he played pitcher well into his 70’s.  He was also an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and all sports. 

     Charlie lived in Lavenham, MB for most of his life, and loved travelling to Treherne to play cards on a regular basis with his friends.  He moved to Winnipeg later in life to be closer to his son Miles, and live the rest of his years at the Willow Centre, making new friends. 

     Charlie was predeceased by his parents and siblings; James, Wes, Sam, Maude, Alice, Mabel, Dorothy, Ethel, Grace, Harold and Fred.

     He is survived by his son Miles Towle (Shannon), Lyle, Luke and Alison, his daughter Tammy (Craig) Fisher, Jenise, Matthew and Liam, along with special friends Sean and Dawn Garrioch. 

     Charlie’s family will hold a private graveside service in the spring.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Plains Cancer Services, 318 Sask. Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB   R1N 0K8 or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB   R3P 2T8.
