Dale Lynn Inkster
It is with sadness that we share Dale’s passing on August 30th, 2021, with his devoted wife at his side.
Dale was predeceased by his parents Betty and Harry Inkster and his mother and father-in-law Margaret (Peggy) and John (Jack) Love.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 33 years, Bonnie, daughter Krista, son Kale Black (Kirsten), grandson Collin, granddaughter Kaitlynn, brother and sister-in-law Bob (Tracy), and sister Cheryl, along with extended family and close friends.
Dale was born in Dauphin, MB and raised on the family farm. After attending school in Dauphin, he began his career with the Co-op, obtaining his Business Management Certificate from Co-operative College of Canada in 1986. He was employed with the Co-op for 15 years, then worked for Hill’s Drug Store where he retired after 30 years of service. Dale won awards for Customer Service Excellence from the Portage & District Chamber of Commerce.
Dale enjoyed numerous hobbies over the years, but most significantly; hunting, being outdoors, woodworking and his Harley. Dale also volunteered as a Fire Fighter and Cub Scout.
Dale was a patient, quiet, humble and caring person, filled with honesty and dignity. He was admired, respected and loved by all who knew him. He fought a brave fight with cancer for many years.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Nelson and the staff at the Cancer Care Unit for the wonderful care and compassion shown to both Dale and Bonnie.
