Notice:  Due to the covid restrictions a private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd.  The public is welcome to attend the graveside interment at Hillside Memorial Park approximately 1:30 pm  - 1:45 pm.

Laraine Dale Kinchen

     It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Kinchen, beloved wife of Kerry and mother of William and Lawrence. 

     Dale was born on November 6th, 1949, daughter of Michael & Vivian Proden in Portage la Prairie where she was raised and received her education.  Dale attended P.C.I. and then Business College. 

     In 1971 she moved to B.C. and in 1978 returned to Portage where she was employed at the Metropolitan Store.  In 1980 she married Kerry Kinchen and they have since resided in Portage la Prairie. 

     Dale was employed at the MB Developmental Centre from 1979 – 1982 when they moved to Rossendale.  In 1987 they returned to Portage la Prairie and started her employment back at the M.D.C. in 1988 where she was employed until illness forced her to retire in 2001. 

     Dale was an adherent of the Portage Alliance Church.  Her interests included reading, spending time outside with their dogs walking in the parks and enjoying the great outdoors.  Her greatest pleasure came from her family and her two boys. 

     Left to cherish her memory are her husband Kerry, sons William and Lawrence, grandchildren; Bethany Bachalo, Marley Kinchen and Corbin Kinchen, her mother Vivian and brothers John and Blaine, along with several nieces and nephews.  Dale was predeceased by her father Michael Proden.     

     A private family service will be held.  

     In lieu of flowers donations may be made to PAWS, 121 - 12th ST. NE, Portage la Prairie, MB   R1N 4A2.
