Dallas James Denslow
September 4, 1931 ~ July 5, 2021
On July 5, 2021 at the Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie Dallas James Denslow passed away at the age of 89 years.
Dallas was born in Portage and spent his life living on the family farm in the Gainsbrough District. He worked at C.F.B. Southport as a plumber for 37 years before retiring to the family farm.
Although Dallas enjoyed hunting & fishing, he was a great advocate for the conservation of wildlife and would frequently feed deer on his property and provided them with a safe haven.
Dallas was well known in the community and could be regularly seen in the local coffee shops engaged in conversation with his peers.
Dallas enjoyed bowling, camping, and especially curling. He was always ready to volunteer to help with bonspiels or raising funds for the local club.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles Sr., and Annie (Nee Kee), also by his siblings John, Charles Jr., Gilbert, Arthur, Clarence, Les, Don, and Pat.
He is survived by one sister, Dorothy of Portage la Prairie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place on July 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Portage la Prairie.
