Following a lengthy illness, the dashing Darlene Drain passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2015 age 55, beloved wife of Wayde Drain and Mother of Chelsea and Krystal Drain. She was born in Winnipeg on February 29, 1960 (leap year baby)! She went to high school at Vincent Massy in Winnipeg. She met Wayde Drain at Beaver Dam Country Music Festival, June 29, 1984 @ 2:00 pm. She married in August 8, 1987 and had two beautiful daughters. Wayde and Darlene have been Independent Herbalife Team Members since April 1, 1986. They absolutely loved working together; it brought them closer to one another as a couple. Working from home has allowed Wayde and Darlene to be there 24/7 for their children and to create such a tight family bond. She loved flowers, shoes, dancing, signing, music festivals, (Beaver Dam, Boggy Creek, Craven, Minnedosa, We Fest, Moon Dance, Dauphin country festival), hauling wood, camping and most of all, spending time with friends and family. She always gave great advice and knew how to make the best out of tough situations. She was the Go-To person for lots of people, especially her daughters! She loved the lyrics from a Trooper song, "We're here for a good time, not a long time!", and that’s how she lived her life! Always having a great time no matter where she went. Having that awesome mind set, Darlene was the life of the party! And boy oh boy...when she got a hold of a microphone, you better watch out, she could rock that thing like no tomorrow! With her big beautiful blue eyes and stunning smile, she has touched many peoples’ lives and will be missed immensely!! We will all be together again one day, until then we are here for a good time not a long time, so have a good time the sun doesn’t shine everyday!
Friends & family are invited for a committal service on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Columbarium in Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, Portage la Prairie.
A Celebration of life will follow at Ray Drain’s Farm at 5:00 PM. Turn South towards South Port, Left on HWY 331, Right on Road 35W, first house on left side #62139 or phone 204-872-4372.
Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Darlene Drain’s name to the Central Plains CancerCare Services.
