Desiree Ellisse Longclaws (nee Flamand)

     Desiree was suddenly taken from us June 17th, 2021.  She was born in Burnaby, BC on February 13th, 1981 and was the only girl in the family of three brothers.

     Desiree grew up to be the core of our family.  Her Dad taught her to sing and play banjo.  She would sing with her Dad, even at age five, at many gatherings.  Family was very important to Desiree.

     She had a passion for gardening and cooking and kept a beautiful home, garden, along with  numerous animals.  She loved reading gardening books to learn new things and sharing tips and tricks with friends.  Her hobbies included; canning, making salves and decorative tea candles.  She enjoyed taking care of her chickens and sharing fresh eggs with her family and friends. 

     Mom put everyone before herself and she made people feel welcomed and “at home” in our home.  She loved her grandkids and enjoyed taking them on adventures and enjoyed evening walks with her family.  Mom was the glue to our family. 

     Mom made an impact on everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

     She will be greatly missed by her husband Quincey, her daughters Emily and Caitlin, sons Jesse and Jacob, grandsons; Logan and Henry, mother Valerie Hill, brothers; Nathan (Sherry) Flamand, Clayton (Rachel) Flamand and Ezra (Tanya) Flamand, and her two little ones Arianna and Emery.  She will also be missed by nephews River and Axel Flamand ~ “Her Boys”, and “Nugget” her special niece Harmonie and Special Auntie Vickie.

     Desiree was predeceased by her father James Flamand. 

     Her family will celebrate her life privately.
