     The family of Dorothy Gladue is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. 

     Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Art, daughter Lisa (Tony), son-in-law Lenny (Linda, Arthur & Kyla) as well as her son Steven and family in B.C.  She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 special grandsons Ethan, Emette and Elias.

     Dorothy also leaves to mourn several close friends, nieces, nephews and sisters Gloria, Della, Tammy, Karen, Donna, Debbie, Linda and predeceased sister Betty.

     "Meema" as she was known to many enjoyed spending time outside in her yard, gardening and admiring her flowers. She was an avid baker who loved to share her recipes and treats with friends and family.   Also known for visiting and having coffee with friends and neighbors, she was always a friendly face that brightened up the morning.  But one of her favorite pastimes was to spend time and share laughs with her grandchildren especially her little clown, Elias. 

     Visitation service will be held on Friday, January 31st,  2020 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie.  A private family interment will take place at a later date.

     The family would like to  thank the Portage & District General Hospital staff, Palliative Care nurses and Portage Home Care for all the care Dorothy received in the past year.
