June 6, 1958 – November 16, 2023

     It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenda Collins, a devoted mother and cherished grandmother.  Glenda passed away peacefully the morning of November 16th, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and enduring love.

     Glenda was born on June 6th, 1958 in Portage la Prairie to Irich Ramsden and Gerald (Gerry) Allanson.  The 7th of 8 children, Glenda grew up on a farm with her youngest sister.  She was an active 4H member for most of her youth and displayed a compassionate spirit and a deep love for plants and animals, especially dogs and horses.  Throughout her life, she shared this love with her family and friends, creating countless memories filled with laughter and four legged companions.  She was most content outside in nature and enjoyed her flowers and the many species of birds that came to visit.

     Glenda's journey through life was marked by dedication to her family and friends.  Glenda was a pillar of strength, offering unwavering support to her children and grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

     As a mother, Glenda approached her role with boundless patience, wisdom, and love. Glenda's 6 grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took immense joy in showering them with affection and wisdom. As we mourn the loss of Glenda, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

     Glenda had requested that when the time came, she would like a get together of friends and family in her daughter’s yard.  So as per Glenda’s wishes, a memorial come and go bonfire will be held on May 11th at 2pm.  For directions please reach out to us at glendamemorial2024@gmail.com
