Grace Henriette Siha
It is with deep sadness the Prince/Siha families announce the passing of Grace Siha on November 26th, 2021 at the age of 89.
Grace will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Leona Freed, Yvonne Prince, Yvette Singh (Bernie), Sandra Siha, Stephanie Prince, sons; George Prince and Peter Prince (Tara). Grace will be lovingly remembered by three generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, too numerous to mention.
Grace was predeceased by her husband Tony Siha, son Earl Prince (Marge), daughter Betty Traverse and granddaughter Jerilyn Prince.
Grace was born on September 6th, 1932 on the Long Plain First Nation Reserve. She received her education at Portage Residential School. Grace lived in Portage la Prairie all her adult life, working at Campbell Soup and McCain Foods until her retirement.
Grace loved spending time with family and friends, travelling. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and playing board games with her children and grandchildren.
A Come & Go Viewing for friends and relatives will be held at Omega Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with COVID protocol in place.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will take place on Friday, December 3rd, 2021. Interment to follow at the Myran-Woods Cemetery at Long Plain Reserve.
