     With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Helen Leona Ducharme on November 21st, 2022 at the age of 84 years, beloved wife of Gilbert Ducharme. 

     Helen was born October 21st, 1938 in Wynard, SK, daughter of John and Annie Zack.  In 1957 Helen married Gilbert Ducharme, they made their homes in St. Ambroise, Delta and finally Portage la Prairie. 

     Helen loved her family and “the kids in fur coats”.  She loved her TV Soaps, Classic Country Music, gardening, BBQ’s and Delta Beach.  She thoroughly enjoyed the family business of Thoroughbred Racing at Assiniboine Downs from 1977 to 1995. 

     Mom was predeceased by her parents John and Annie Zack, husband Gilbert in July 2014, her son John in March 2016.  Helen leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory daughters Marie and Patsy. 

     A private family service will take place at a later date.
