Louise Bailey Latka

     Louise Bailey Latka was born December 26th at 11:42am and passed peacefully in my arms. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces  and was 18.5 inches. She had her brother’s hair, daddy’s nose, mommy’s lips, and the softest cheeks. She was just the most beautiful thing we have ever seen.

     We were able to hold her for 6 hours and study her sweet face all day long. The pain that we feel from missing her each day is inexplicable. We ache for the day when we can kiss her forehead and hold her in our arms again. Each day we are rejoicing in the privilege of being parents to Loulou for her short time here. We are thankful that we got to meet, cradle, and kiss our sweet daughter. 

     These last days have been the most heartbreaking and traumatic time of our lives, from not knowing something was wrong until everything felt against us. We are thankful to our family for helping us keep Henry happy and occupied. We are thankful that we were able to enjoy Christmas morning as a family and see his precious joy. 

     Thank you to our family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. We know everyone wants to help and send their condolences. Please let us sit alone in our grief as we process this horrible tragedy. We know you will be there when we are ready.
