Margaret (Peggy) Rushton

     Peacefully at the age of 98, with family close by, Margaret (Peggy) Rushton passed away at her home in Oakland on November 27th, 2020.

     Mom grew up in the Toronto area, but moved to Oakland in 1948 to marry our dad Hector.  She lived on the Rushton farm for 72 years and was the heart and soul of our family.  Mom worked the farm with our dad, raised six children, was a good friend and neighbour, laughed and played with her ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and even in the last year was still making the best roast beef dinner. Mom loved nature, birds and all animals, especially her cats.

     Mom is now in the arms of our dear dad and beloved sister Joyce. She is loved, cherished and forever remembered by Judy (Wayne), Susan (Don), Nancy, Nora, Larry (Leah), and by her grandchildren; Chris (Tiffany), Leigh (James), Deanna, Meghan, Kyle, Keegan (Liz), Keely (Brian), Paige (Brett), Annie (Graham ), and Everet (Amanda), and by her great grandchildren; Dylan, Brooke, Quinn, Kelton, Kyra, Calder, Finley, Evan, and Kaley.

     Due to the Covid 19 virus Peggy’s family will celebrate her life privately.  Should friends so desire donations can be made to PAWS, 121-12th St NE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 4A2
