It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Mary Unrau, on Wednesday, June 7th,2023 at Douglas Campbell Lodge, at 86 years of age.

Mary was born on February 26th, 1937 in Winnipeg and grew up on a farm outside Springsteen, Manitoba.  Mary valued being a part of her church and the local community in service to others throughout her life. She was highly valued by those around her.  Mary loved her family and was especially fond of her grandchildren.  Everyone enjoyed her immaculate gardens, her homemade baking, jams and juices. The jam jams and fritters (rollkuchen) were so good!  Mary was known for the table games , endless skip-bo and rummy whenever family was together. She dominated the games but let others win occasionally.

Predeceased by her husband Henry, three sons; Albert, Frank, Harold and granddaughter Tania.  Left to celebrate her memory are her children; Hank (Sandy), Marie (Ron) and Bev ( Stu). Grandchildren; Tiffany (Steve), Trevor, Tyler, John (Angela), Darnell, Chris (Melanie), Marley (Neil), Brittaney (Josh) and Marilyn.  As well as 16 great grandchildren.

A special thanks to the staff at Douglas Campbell Lodge for all of their love and support over the years.
