It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mary “Margaret” Huddleston on July 30, 2015, at the age of 90 years.
Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Thursday August 6, 2015 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Viewing will be held prior to the service.
Margaret was born on September 3, 1924 in Graysville, MB to Joe and Amanda Payette, one of 10 children. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Wilfred Huddleston, brothers; Damus, Martin, Maurice and Robert Payette, sisters; Ruth Dack, Kathleen Borley, Mary Buck and Ida Smith; and special friend Frank Chester. Left to cherish her memory are son Tom Huddlestone, daughter Carolyn (Jim) Reich, grand children Sheri (Mike) Ortman, Tim (Sandra) Reich and Valeri Reich; great grand daughters; Tazmin Ortman, Shyanna and Sierra Reich; brother Charles Payette; sister in law Ila Payette, brother in law Norman Smith, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Margaret lived in the South Ridge District until moving to 9th Street NW in Portage la Prairie. She resided at Lions Prairie Manor since May 2012 due to failing eye sight. The family would like to thank the staff at Lions Prairie Manor for their excellent care.
