        It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxine Ruth Wieler.  Maxine was taken home to be with her lord Jesus on June 5th, 2018

        Max was born in Portage la Prairie on April 11th, 1947 and passed away peacefully survived by her loving husband Gordon and her 3 children;  Angela (Kelly) Friesen, Andrew Wieler, and Robyn (Dan) Patterson, her 9 grandchildren whom she dearly loved and her sister Doreen Stewart.  Predeceased by her mother and father Lena and Stanley Head, her sister Yvonne McCallum and her daughter-in-law Morgan Wieler.

        Max was raised in Sidney, Mb and married her grade school sweetheart on February15th, 1969. Their 3 children were all born in Manitoba then moved to Whitecourt, AB in 1978 where they raised their family. Maxine was fiercely dedicated to teaching her children about the love and compassion of God. She worked in her children’s school and later attended Lethbridge Collage where she received her diploma in Travel & Tourism. She loved to travel and over the years had many adventures.

        A celebration of life will be held June 13th, 2018 at 2 pm at the Sidney Community Centre (Old Schoolhouse) in Sidney, MB.  Interment to follow at the Sidney Cemetery.
