Mildred Ettie Paul (nee Overton)

     Due to the effects of Covid 19, and with family at hand, Mum passed away in her sleep at Portage General Hospital on the afternoon of November 30th, 2020

     Mum grew up on the Ostapowich family farm in the Rossendale District with her two brothers Joe and Donald, who have both predeceased her.  She married David James Paul in 1954 and had four sons with him; Edward (Alison) of Putaruru, New Zealand; Donald (Josephine); Feron (Debbie) and Laurie (Sonya), all of Portage la Prairie.  In later years, she had Marcel of Portage la Prairie and a daughter Shannon, now residing in Winnipeg.

     Mildred was well known in the Portage District and had many friends and acquaintances. She spent the majority of her working career at the Campbell’s Soup plant, making many friends along the way. She was a very independent woman and was not shy in expressing her opinions, as those who knew her will attest.

     She will be lovingly missed and cherished by her grandchildren; Tatiana, Cameron, Tracy, Dwayne, Candace, Christa, Mitch, April, Amber, Autumn, Alysha, Alexia, Austin, Arizona, Shane, Vanessa, Brandon, Haley, and Ashley as well as her nineteen great-grandchildren.

     Due to covid restrictions Millie’s family will celebrate her life privately.
