Murray John Hourie
Murray John Hourie “Mucky” passed away peacefully on March 25, 2018 at the age of 63 years with his family at his side.
Murray was born on June 3, 1954 to John & Rose Hourie. Murray worked for 25 plus years for CP Railway and retired in 2011. Returning home to Portage from Brandon area soon after where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with family and friends and drinking Tim Hortons coffee.
Murray is survived by his brother, Roy Hourie, his two daughters; Sheri Lea (Clayton Gee), Rosalea Dawn, his son Christopher, grandchildren; Sarah Layne, Leeya Rose and Lacie Jean. Also surviving his lifelong partner and friend Margret Melville and her children; Frank, Chris, Ashley and James along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
