     In sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our brother and uncle, Robbie Leslie, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the age of 63 years. 

     Robbie was the beloved son of the late Marge & Alan Leslie of Poplar Point, MB.

     Left to cherish his memory; his sister Lynn (Darryl) White, brothers; Murray, Luke, Doug (Charlene), Cam (Cindy).

     Robbie was an uncle to Jeff, Dale, Karly, Jay, Mike, Derek, Mandy, Cheri, Danny, Chloe and Max. 

     Robbie is also survived by his aunt Val Grant of Rainy River, numerous cousins, a younger generation of nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends.

     He grew up in Poplar Point and enjoyed all the ups and downs of small town living.

     Robbie was employed with the Government of MB, Department of Conservation, for over 40 years. 

     The “Weasel”, as he was known to most, lived life on his own terms. 

     He enjoyed driving (steady), Tim’s coffee, smoking and listening to the radio.  Never seemed to be a song he didn’t know.  A surprise to some of us!

     Robbie lived with dementia in his later years. 

     Thanks to the excellent care, compassion and awareness of the staff at the Carberry Care Home, Robbie was able to live his last years with respect and dignity.  We thank them for all their kindness. 

     Robbie was a private man, and we will celebrate his life in the same manner. 

     A gathering to celebrate Robbie’s life will be held at a later date.
