Robert Coburn Jr.
Robert was born April 9th, 1942 in Portage la Prairie, MB to Robert and Hannah Coburn.
Bob enjoyed making jewelry, whether that was a necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings, he loved to display his “work of art” with those who took an interest. A Certificate of Appreciation was given to Bob from the Herman Prior Seniors Center Art Club in recognition for this handmade jewelry. He also repaired wheelchairs for the Herman Prior Centre. During his working career Bob was employed at three body shops in Portage la Prairie. He loved attending auction sales as often as he could.
Bob had a sweet tooth, enjoyed coffee and snacks with friends. He was very social, outgoing and enjoyed visiting with others immensely. Bob also had a great sense of humor and was quite the joker. He enjoyed making people laugh.
Bob moved into the Lions Prairie Manor on March 4th, 2020 where he resided until his passing. He was with his lifelong partner Freda Isfeld for 45 years until her passing in November of 2019. Freda was Bob’s “everything”. He missed her so very much and yearned to be with her.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert and Hannah. He is survived by his sister Hazel Packham of Vernon, BC along with his many friends, as well as his extended family at the Lions Prairie Manor who are going to miss him, "we already do".
As per Bob’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. Donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
