William Herbert Pliszka

          Bill passed away in the Portage & District General Hospital on Sunday, October 11th, 2020.  He was 72 years old.  Predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Vivian Pliszka and younger brother John Pliszka. 

      Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife of 38 years, Joanita, children; Todd Pliszka of Portage la Prairie and Christopher (Tracy) and grandchildren Alexis and Elizabeth of Grande Prairie, Alberta; one sister Marie (Ken) Adamson of Winnipeg; father and mother-in-law Earl and Marvel Wedeking of Clarksville, Iowa; brother-in-law Dennis (Crystal) Wedeking of Plainfield, Iowa; sister-in-law Susan Pliszka of Vernon, B.C. and numerous nieces and nephews. 

      The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lions Prairie Manor for their care and compassion for the last several years and to the staff at Portage General Hospital during his recent stay there. 

      Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of MB, 1379 Kenaston, Winnipeg, MB   R3P 2T5,  Lions Prairie Manor, 24 9th St. SE, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3V4, or to a charity of choice.  Bill’s family will celebrate his life privately.
