Yvette Gregoire

Marie Dorothee Yvette Gregoire

     Yvette was born in the parish of St. Leon, Manitoba, November 13, 1924, and passed away in Winnipeg,  May 12, 2022.

     In 1940, the family moved from the Somerset area to the Reaburn/Poplar Point district, and then to St. Marks.  In her teens, she moved to Winnipeg, and was employed by the firm of Dowse Sash and Door, the company for which she worked until she retired at the age of 70.  Her great pleasures during her life were playing Bingo and whist, and keeping in touch with the large, far-flung family.

     She was predeceased by her parents Rodolphe and Marie Gregoire (nee Back), siblings; Andriette (1944), Claire (Cyril) DeWulf (2008), Andre (Hermina Voskamp, Grenaline Creaghe (nee Roberts) (2011), and Rita (Lawrence) Hiebert (2020).  She is survived by her sister Agnes (Elswood) Atkinson of Calgary, and numerous nieces and nephews.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Yvette’s name to Alzheimer Society of MB, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB,  R3C 4G2.

     Yvette’s family will celebrate her life privately.
