Eileen Ruth McLennan

     On August 13th, 2019, with her son David at her side, Eileen McLennan of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba passed away at the age of 82.

     Eileen was born on October 29, 1936 to Ruth and Edward Dack of rural Portage la Prairie, where she was raised and received her education. She attended business school in Portage and went on to work at various local businesses including Portage Mutual and Tilley Realty.  Eileen also served in the Canadian Navy from 1954 to 1958 and later in life worked as a Commissionaire at Southport CFB.

     Pre-deceased by her husband Don and her brother John Dack and sister Una Fries, Eileen leaves to mourn her passing her son David, sister Eva Tickle and brother Edward Dack, Uncle Charles Payette as well many nieces and nephews and extended family.

    Eileen enjoyed drawing, painting, gardening, caring for her many pets and spending time with family.

    A Come & Go Tea will be held in honor of Eileen, on Monday, August 19th, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Reception Room, Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie.
