     It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Dear Mother - Carrol Anne Sandney at the age of 70 years old, peacefully on April 25th, 2024 at her home in Portage la Prairie.

     Carrol was predeceased by her parents Lawrence & Irene Sandney, sister Diana Knott, brother Robert Sandney, niece Tanya Knott, nephew Brett Sandney, sister-in-law Cathy Sandney and son-in-law Vinney Wilson.

     Carrol is survived by daughters Dulcie (Don) and Darcy. Grandchildren; Sheylene (Nick), KayDee (Tye), Anthony (Kelsey), Danielle (Jordi), Brendan, Hope (Max), Greg (Missy), Ashley and Elisha (Kaeleb) along with 18 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Larry (Donna), Raymond (Shelley), Blanche (Len) Asham, Lindy (Ken) Knott, Peter (Fern), Kenny (Becky), Gerald (Alison), Mike (Donna), Shelley (Ken) Doell of Pincher Creek and Rickie.  In-laws Robert Knott, Karen Sandney, God son Chris Asham, and several nieces and nephews.

     Mom was born on Sept. 26th, 1953 in St. Boniface, Wpg. to legendary parents Lawrence & Irene Sandney. Mom, as a single parent, worked hard and tirelessly to provide for her daughters. Employed through the years supporting the vulnerable in our community, finishing her working career at the Association for Community Living where she will truly be missed by all, as well with all her family members and many loving friends.      Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie from 7:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m.   A Memorial Service will be held at Omega Funeral Home, Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Please click here to view livestream.
