Ethel Alexina Esson

     On January 29, Ethel Esson peacefully passed away at Lions Prairie Manor at the age of 98 years. 

     Ethel was born on June 26, 1925, daughter of Alexina & David Tetlock at Maidstone, SK, where she was raised and received her education.  After completing her schooling, she attended Teachers College in Saskatoon.  She then taught at various times and places through the years. 

     In 1946 she married Raymond Gregory in Mervin, SK, who predeceased her in 1971.  In 1976 she married Keith Esson, and they resided in Portage la Prairie until Keith’s passing in 1996. 

     Ethel is survived by her stepdaughters; Carole and Keitha (Bill), her daughters; Lois, Margaret, and Lorna (George) along with their families. 

     Visitation and viewing will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 5:00 -6:00 p.m. at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at River Road Gospel Hall, 350 River Rd., Portage la Prairie.  Interment to follow the service.  Everyone is welcome to join family and friends for a time of fellowship, lunch and refreshments following the interment.
