We were saddened to see of Gordie's passing and his suffering from dementia for so many years. My Mom (Elaine Murray) was raised in Elva with Gordie and was a life-long friend. Yvonne, you were Don's teacher at Cameron and he still remembers you as being a great teacher. Don also remembers going to your house and watching the World Series games with Gordie. He loved baseball too. Our sympathy to Yvonne and children and grandchildren.

Yvonne, my sincere condolences to you and your family after Gordon's passing. Indirectly, I have known your family for some time. Gary and I shared a gr. 8 classroom in Prince Charles. In later years I came to watch Gordon at many slow pitch games around the province for George Tomalin is my dad. I remember my dad telling me about the road trip the two of them made to play ball in Arizona. They were both crazy for baseball that's for sure!!! Sadly my dad now too, has alzheimers and for the past 4 years has been living in Douglas Campbell lodge since the passing of my mum. I have fond memories of watching them run the bases. I was able to read about the passing of Gordon in the Melita New Era. I know a number of folks will remember him for the time he worked in this area...I have friends that did and do. Take care,

Thinking of all of you at this time, so sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'd have been there to pay my respects if I had. I will always remember my days working with Gordon when I first started at Pedden Agencies. He was always so good natured, and such a sense of humour. Had a lot of fun, and I loved his zest for life, his passion for baseball and his love of family. My most sincere sympathy.

Sending our sincere sympathy to the family on the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. We do remember many of you, from your time in Boissevain. I skated with Lynn and still have a picture of a few of us skating together. My Mom, Edith Blanchard also sends her condolences.
