I loved Marvin, he was my mentor at CVS. I remember him frequently quipping, "The universe is unfolding as it should." Indeed. So sorry for your loss.

I was very pleased to have the opportunity to have met Mr Krawec. He was one of my favorite customers, I always looked forward to what he had to say, Telling me about the Teachers boards of Manitoba on which he took an active part , or explaining what was on his daily agenda. There was always a positive attitude!! I have no doubt that he was a wonderful teacher. I am truly sorry for your loss, and know he will be missed.

Marvin seemed to be a man truly engaged in his community and an ready advocate for those in need. Whether chatting about world affairs, community issues, politics or wine, Marvin was always very generous with his time and willing to share his knowledge.
I first met Marvin when he was my "King" of Hearts in a Prairie Players production of Alice Alice in 1996. (Connie was the "Queen" of Hearts). For an inexperienced thespian, working with such a wonderful couple was a very positive experience. From that moment until recent days, I had always looked forward to, and enjoyed visiting with Marvin, (no matter how brief the conversation) and appreciated that he always had a moment for a chat. I shall miss Marvin, and offer my condolences to Connie and family.

Respectfully,
Suzy Laevens

Dear Connie: Our greatest sympathy to you and your family. May your courage and the comfort of your family and friends help you through. Marvin was a dear friend of ours, a fellow teacher, and frequently a colleague in our shared community services, for many years. We admired his dedication, enthusiasiam, and (of course) his sense of humour. Marvin will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

I was very sorry to learn of Marvin's passing. I met him at last June's ACER-CART meeting. He made the newbie feel very welcome, inviting me to join him at lunch the first day and entertaining me as we sat side by side at the meeting. I was looking forward to seeing him again and will miss his presence this year. On behalf of the Retired Teachers of Ontario, please accept our deepest sympathy and our appreciation of the great respect all of us who have attended ACER-CART had for Marvin.

Friends, Romans, Country men, lend me your ears.........is how Marvin Krawec greeted us in grade 8!!!
This was a man of integrity and patience that had a love and passion for teaching. He was not just a teacher.....he was "THAT" teacher!!!! He was THAT teacher that let you explore yourself. He was THAT teacher that let you be a feminist, a politician a mathematician, a rocket scientist, a poet, a journalist......he let you BE who you wanted to BE!!! HE ALLOWED YOU TO BE!!!! He never judged, he encouraged. He encouraged learning, he encouraged laughing, he encouraged exploration!!!! He was MY TEACHER, but he was my friend!!! He was an IDOL to many. He taught me.....I was the most important person in the world. He taught me I had a voice and he taught me how to use it. As I watch my children go through school, I hope, I really hope that they will find their MR KRAWEC. He made such an impact on so many people's lives........HE WAS A TEACHER, but I can bet, everyone that was lucky enough to be graced by his presence can honestly say that he was THAT TEACHER that had the biggest impact on their education and that he helped mold who they are today!!!! He may be gone, but he will not be forgotten!! He has never been forgotten!!!! RIP MR KRAWEC!!!!

We have known ,loved and resoected Marvin for many years. He has always conducted himself as a gentleman and wanted the best for all who came in contact with him. His guitar led many singalongs, and his sense of humour was legendary. Working closely with him this past couple of years in RTAM, I came to learn of his great concern that retired teachers should treat fairly with all seniors and that we should work for the greater good. He will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences to Connie and his sons. It was a privilege and a pleasure to have known Marvin.
