            On Saturday, September 17, 2016, Mary Lillian Bogue, of Brandon, MB and formerly of Oakville, MB, beloved wife of the late Jack Bogue, passed away at Brandon, MB at the age 90 years,

            Funeral service will be held in Knox United Church, Oakville, MB on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Oakville Cemetery.

            Mary was predeceased by her husband Jack; her parents Charles & Lillian Spencer and 2 brothers Charles & Donald Spencer. She leaves to mourn her passing her children Keith (Joan) of Brandon, MB and Jacquie (Tom) Hickin of Chilliwack, BC; grandchildren Jonathan (Sarah), Vanessa and Ashleigh; great grandchildren Trevor, Nicole and Roseilee; sister Eva Miller; sister-in-law Joan Spencer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

            Mary was born and raised in Rathwell, MB. She became a school teacher at a young age and worked in rural one room school houses, eventually coming to Ingleside School District where she met her future husband Jack. When they got married they lived on the farm in the Oakville area, eventually moving into Oakville where she served as the Postmaster for many years. She was a strong community worker whether it was in her church, community clubs, Legion, Chamber of Commerce or various charities. She was the local Oakville correspondent for the Herald Leader Press newspaper. Mary loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren
