             Suddenly, but with great sadness on August 26, 2017 Charles Emery Richard passed away. Charles will be lovingly remembered by his long time partner Lorenda Nepinak; his children; Kobi Richard, Tristan Richard, Neelin Richard, Phoenix Richard, Austin Richard and his baby girl Ciara Richard. He also leaves his mom Marie; sisters Carrie (Robert), Vanessa (William), and Becky; brothers Brian and Stewart (Charleen). As well as family members and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by his dad Emery Richard.

            Born Charles Emery Richard on March 31, 1978 at Portage la Prairie, MB he met the mother of his six children in Pine Creek, MB.  Charles loved Lorenda and their children. He attended Brandon University to be a school teacher.  He was also educated in a variety of skills such as computer and carpentry.

            Charles was an avid hockey player and started playing hockey in Oakville, Manitoba. He also played with team Westman in Brandon, Manitoba. As a Bantam he played with the Portage Terriers Traveling team and they won the provincials in Thompson, Manitoba.

            Prayers will take place Friday, September 1, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road S., Portage la Prairie, MB.

            Funeral service will be held Saturday September 2, 2017, Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Portage la Prairie, MB at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Pallbearers will be Randy Richard, Sheldon Weselowski, Georgie Moosetail, Danon Pashe, Terry Myran and Kenneth Lee Richard.

            If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Charles to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 236 Sask. Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 0K9.
